How battery figures are labeled
Every EV listing shows a battery figure, labeled so you can tell them apart:
- Tested is a battery capacity test on file for that exact VIN. 0 of the 215 EVs shown here have one.
- Estimated from displayed range (shown as “Displayed range”) compares the range that exact car shows at a full charge with its original EPA rating. It is a calculation for that VIN, not a lab test. 0 of 215.
- Typical estimate (shown as “Est. ~X%”) is the typical figure for a car of that model, age and mileage from published fleet data (TeslaTracker for Teslas, sharpened with its per-trim figures; Geotab for other EVs). It is not a measurement of the car itself, and you can request a report. 215 of 215.
- Similar Teslas display is the full-charge range comparable used Teslas show (same trim, year and mileage), from TeslaTracker, with how many cars it is based on. It describes similar cars, not that one. 29 of 215.
Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X: the differences
We have 216 used Teslas in stock (180 at Norco and 36 at South El Monte), from model years 2013 to 2026. Prices run $12,780 to $103,084. Mileage ranges from 95 to 148,819 miles. Trims on the lot include Performance, Long Range, Base, Plaid, Base HW4 and P100D.
- Model 3: 113 cars in stock, $12,780 to $41,084. The Model 3 is the compact sedan and usually the lowest-priced way into a Tesla.
- Model Y: 56 cars in stock, $18,580 to $44,080. The Model Y is the compact crossover, taller than the Model 3 with a hatchback and more cargo room.
- Model X: 28 cars in stock, $20,820 to $103,084. The Model X is the full-size SUV, with falcon-wing rear doors and five, six or seven seats.
- Model S: 19 cars in stock, $14,080 to $78,084. The Model S is the full-size liftback sedan, with more space and power than the Model 3.
Battery health and how our battery figures work
Battery health is the first question on any used Tesla, so every Tesla page labels its battery figure: a battery test result when we have one, the full-charge range the car displayed when we recorded it, or a typical estimate for its age and mileage. Only a test measures the battery itself; a displayed range and an estimate are clearly marked as such. You can request a report for a specific VIN, and our battery health guide explains how to read the figures.
Autopilot and Full Self-Driving after a sale
Autopilot (Traffic-Aware Cruise Control and Autosteer) has been standard on new Teslas since 2019. Enhanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving are paid software upgrades that Tesla records against the car, and Tesla's records decide what stays active after a sale, so a listing reflects what the car showed when we photographed it. On the test drive, open Controls, then Software, to see the installed package, and confirm it in the Tesla app once the car is yours. Offers to transfer Full Self-Driving have been limited-time Tesla promotions for owners buying another car from Tesla, not something a used buyer inherits from the previous owner.
Charging, Superchargers and NACS
Teslas use Tesla's own charge port, standardized by SAE as J3400 (often called NACS), and can charge on Tesla's Supercharger network, with sessions billed through the Tesla app. At home, a Level 2 (240-volt) circuit is the usual setup; a standard 120-volt outlet works but adds only a few miles of range per hour. A J1772 adapter lets a Tesla use most public Level 2 stations, so ask whether one comes with the car.
Tesla warranty on a used car
Tesla covers the battery and drive unit for 8 years. Under current terms the mileage limit is 150,000 miles for Model S and Model X, 100,000 miles for Model 3 and Model Y Standard, Standard Range Plus and RWD versions, and 120,000 miles for Model 3 and Model Y Long Range, Premium and Performance versions, each with at least 70% battery capacity retained over the period; a Model S or X bought new under earlier terms keeps the battery warranty that applied then. The Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty runs 4 years or 50,000 miles. Coverage counts from the car's first delivery and transfers to later owners at no cost, and we can check what remains on a specific VIN.
Federal used EV tax credit
The federal used clean vehicle tax credit is no longer available: under current law it does not apply to vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025, according to the IRS. Some utilities and California programs offer their own EV incentives, so check what applies on the date you buy.
How to choose a used Tesla
Start with how you drive. The Model 3 is the lightest and usually the least expensive way into a Tesla, and it suits commuters on the 91, 15 and 60 freeways. The Model Y adds a hatchback and more cargo room for families, and the Model S and Model X cover buyers who want more space or performance. Compare model years too, because equipment such as the heat pump, the battery chemistry and the driver-assistance package changed over time.
Seeing a Tesla at our Norco and South El Monte stores
Every listing shows which store the car is parked at. Norco on Hamner Avenue is close to Corona, Eastvale and Riverside, and South El Monte on Garvey Avenue serves the San Gabriel Valley. Call the store before you drive over so the car is charged and ready for a test drive. Prices are posted online, and each car links to its CARFAX report, so you can compare cars at home first. You can trade in your current car, Tesla or not, and apply for financing before your visit.
Financing, trade-ins and test drives
Premium Autos offers financing: you can start a pre-qualification or credit application online, and approval, rates and terms come from the lender. We take trade-ins of any make and model and also buy cars outright, and you can submit your car online for an appraisal.

Questions shoppers ask
- How many used Teslas do you have in stock?
- We have 216 used Teslas in stock (180 at Norco and 36 at South El Monte), from model years 2013 to 2026. Prices run $12,780 to $103,084. Mileage ranges from 95 to 148,819 miles. Trims on the lot include Performance, Long Range, Base, Plaid, Base HW4 and P100D. Stock changes daily, so the listings above are the current count.
- What is the difference between the Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X?
- The Model 3 is the compact sedan and usually the lowest-priced way into a Tesla; the Model Y is the compact crossover, taller than the Model 3 with a hatchback and more cargo room; the Model S is the full-size liftback sedan, with more space and power than the Model 3; and the Model X is the full-size SUV, with falcon-wing rear doors and five, six or seven seats.
- How do I check a used Tesla's battery health?
- A battery capacity test is the only measurement of the battery itself. Without one, compare the range the car displays at a full charge with its original EPA rating. Each Tesla page shows a test result, the displayed range we recorded, or a labeled estimate for its age and mileage, and you can request a report for the exact VIN.
- Does a used Tesla still have its battery warranty?
- Tesla covers the battery and drive unit for 8 years.
- Is there still a basic warranty on a used Tesla?
- Tesla's Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty runs 4 years or 50,000 miles from the car's first delivery, whichever comes first, and transfers to later owners at no cost. Many used Teslas are past it; we can check a specific VIN.
- Does Full Self-Driving transfer with a used Tesla?
- Autopilot (Traffic-Aware Cruise Control and Autosteer) has been standard on new Teslas since 2019.
- Where can I charge a used Tesla?
- Teslas use Tesla's own charge port, standardized by SAE as J3400 (often called NACS), and can charge on Tesla's Supercharger network, with sessions billed through the Tesla app. At home, a Level 2 (240-volt) circuit is the usual setup; a standard 120-volt outlet works but adds only a few miles of range per hour. A J1772 adapter lets a Tesla use most public Level 2 stations, so ask whether one comes with the car.
- Do I need a home charger for a used Tesla?
- Not strictly, but most owners install a Level 2 (240-volt) circuit or wall connector at home because a standard 120-volt outlet adds only a few miles of range per hour. Superchargers and public Level 2 stations cover the rest.
- Can I get a federal tax credit on a used Tesla?
- The federal used clean vehicle tax credit is no longer available: under current law it does not apply to vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025, according to the IRS. Some utilities and California programs offer their own EV incentives, so check what applies on the date you buy.
- Can I finance a used Tesla at Premium Autos?
- Premium Autos offers financing, and you can start online with a pre-qualification or credit application. Approval, rates and terms depend on your credit and the lender, so call a store or send a request and we will go over your options.
- Can I trade in my current car?
- Yes. We accept trade-ins of any make and model and also buy cars outright, even if you don't purchase from us. Submit your vehicle online for an appraisal.
- Where can I test drive a used Tesla?
- We have 180 at our Norco store (2100 Hamner Avenue, (951) 848-5451) and 36 at our South El Monte store (9640 Garvey Avenue, (626) 548-4799) right now. Call ahead or send a request from the listing so the car is ready.
- Are prices and vehicle history shown online?
- Yes. Prices are shown online on most Tesla listings (the rest say call for price), and every car links to its CARFAX report, so you can compare cars before you visit.
- Can I see a used Tesla on a Sunday?
- Yes, at our Norco store, open Sunday 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The South El Monte store at 9640 Garvey Avenue is closed on Sundays and open Monday to Saturday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
