What to check on a used Toyota Camry

Check the maintenance records and that the oil and coolant look clean.
On the test drive, make sure the transmission shifts smoothly at low speed and under light throttle.
Check tire wear and brakes, and that the infotainment screen and backup camera work.
Look at the windshield and front bumper for stone chips, common on commuter cars.

Warranty basics

Factory coverage on a used Toyota depends on when it was first sold and its mileage, and some manufacturers limit parts of their coverage to the original owner. A Toyota dealer can look up what remains for a specific VIN, and we can help you check before you buy.
