What we buy
If it drives, we will appraise it. Teslas and EVs are our specialty — Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck, plus every other electric brand — and we buy trucks, SUVs and gas cars of any make, age or mileage. Clean titles, financed cars and high-mileage daily drivers are all fine to bring in. Start with the estimate above, or skip straight to an appraisal request and our buyers will take it from there.
What your offer is based on
Year, mileage and demand
Newer and lower-mileage usually means stronger money, but demand matters just as much — a well-kept older car that shoppers are hunting for can out-earn a newer one nobody is looking for.
Condition and history
Accident history, tires, brakes, warning lights and cosmetic damage all move the number. Honest wear is expected on a used car; undisclosed damage is what hurts, because it always shows up in the inspection and the history report.
Options and equipment
Factory options hold value when buyers want them — on a Tesla, things like Full Self-Driving, premium interiors and the performance trims all count.
Battery health (EVs)
For electric cars we look at displayed range and battery test results where available — the same figures we publish on our own cars. See how we measure it on the battery health page.
Selling outright vs trading in
The appraisal does not change with your choice. Selling outright is one visit and a payment. Trading in puts the same value toward your next car as its down payment — which can lower the amount you finance — and our financing team handles the old loan payoff and the new loan in one sitting. Either way, browsing the current inventory before you come in makes the visit faster.
Selling or trading in — questions
Do I have to buy a car from you to sell you mine?
No. We buy cars outright, whether or not you buy from us. The appraisal is the same either way — if you do trade in, the value can go straight toward your next car as its down payment.
How is my offer calculated?
Our buyers compare your car with what similar cars are actually selling for, then adjust for mileage, condition, options, title status and — for an EV — battery health. The online estimate is a range; the in-person appraisal is the firm number we stand behind.
I still owe money on my car. Can I sell or trade it?
Yes. Tell us the loan balance in the appraisal request and we will get the exact payoff from your lender and handle the paperwork. If the payoff is more than the car is worth, our team will show you the numbers and your options before you decide anything.
What should I bring when I sell my car?
Bring the title (or your loan account details if the bank holds it), current registration, a valid driver's license, and every key or fob you have. Service records help if you have them. If your title is lost, a replacement can usually be ordered from the DMV and we can often start the appraisal while you wait for it.
Does my EV's battery health affect the offer?
Yes — battery health is a real part of an EV's value. We look at the car's displayed range and, where available, a battery test. A healthy battery supports a stronger offer, which is why our own EVs list their battery figure on every car page.
How long does the process take?
Start online: the estimate takes about a minute, and our buyers follow up during business hours with the appraisal request. The in-person part is a short inspection of the car, then a written offer you can take home and think about — there is no obligation to accept it on the spot.
